Instructions
1. Start the Game
Open Drift Hunters on your web browser (it's free online, no download needed).
Hit "Play" to jump right in.
Choose your first car — you start with a basic model like the Toyota Corolla AE86.
2. Learn the Controls
The basic keyboard controls are:
Arrow Keys: Steer left and right
Up Arrow (↑): Accelerate
Down Arrow (↓): Brake/Reverse
Spacebar: Handbrake (important for starting drifts!)
C: Change camera view
Shift: Gear up (for manual shifting)
CTRL: Gear down
(You can also customize controls in the settings if you prefer.)
3. Pick a Track
Start on an easier, open map like City or Forest — these have wide roads that are great for learning.
Later, you can challenge yourself with tighter tracks like Emashi or Port.
4. Start Drifting
Build up speed, then lightly tap the left or right arrow to begin a turn.
Tap the spacebar (handbrake) as you turn to kick the back of the car out and start drifting.
Counter-steer (turn the opposite direction) to control the drift.
Keep the throttle steady to maintain the drift as long as possible.
The longer you drift without crashing, the more points you earn!
5. Earn Points and Upgrade
After every drift session, spend your points:
Buy better cars
Upgrade parts like the engine, brakes, weight reduction, turbo, and suspension
Customize your car’s look with colors and rims
Upgraded cars make it easier to pull off huge drifts and hit massive scores.
